CONSTRUCTING: This website is under construction as part of a shift to change my pen name from R.L. Drembic to Salfane (LA Salfane, LNA Salfane... its a work in progress). Some links and images may have issues during construction.
Novels: I have completed first drafts of three more novels, The Rise of the Hawks (sequel to The Knights of the Caers), and my first science fiction novel, The Debacle, which is set in the midst of an interstellar war. Then there is my second science fiction story, Slow Decay, following the sojourn of an alien race into space in search of a new home. Read the beginning of these books under the Novels tab above or by clicking on their names.
Short Stories and Poems: This section has grown a lot over the last few months with many inspirational works. I am particularly proud of my latest effort, "Frail and Shriveled." Two of my poems, "Have I Been Twisted?" and "Step by Infuriating Step" were both chosen as winners in a poetry contest by Just Simply Publishing Services out of approximately 135 entries.

Text Swap: In the earliest printed copies of The Knights of the Caers, the text on pages 150 and 151 was switched. This means that the story has to be read 148-149-151-150-152... This switch will forever mark the first printed copies of my first novel.
The Infinite Potential for Creativity Astounds Me.
One thing that astounds and astonishes me every day is humanity's infinite potential of creativity. One individual, throughout their lifetime, can conceive and create hundreds of stories long and short, fantasies and wishes, and dreams both waking and sleeping. There are over six billion people on the earth at this moment, and every single one of them has this potential. We can create, and have created, an untold and uncountable number of stories and adventures without repeating other stories that already exist. And the most astounding thing is that this infinite creativity isn't confined to just story telling, it come come in numerous forms. Humanity can express their creativity through poem, musical lyrics, musical instruments, painting, drawing, sculpting, dancing, building, crafting, carving, knitting, sowing, etc. etc. etc., and we all have skill and potential to be great in at least one of these areas. I am proud to be a part of this incredible potential and gladly show it by sharing my skill with written stories with as many people as I can reach, entertain, and inspire.
